Job Title: Software Engineering Intern

Job Description: Building and maintaining tools that help enable independent software vendors (ISV) to partner with Red Hat and build products around Red Hat's container platform. Exploring challenges in facilitating easy application development and even refine existing code bases to help them scale across the complexities of deployment. Working closely with Red Hat's Engineering and Product Management teams to ensure delivery of excellent and technically polished tools for partners and developers.
Educational Qualification: Any graduation
Eligibility: 0 - 1 yr
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new features for certification test processes available for Red Hat's container certification strategy on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Red Hat Atomic.
Develop new features for certification validation backend.
Maintain existing features and respond to bugs or defects.
Participate in discussions with partners to clearly communicate policies and processes.
Contribute to upstream tools with the aim of collaborating for introduction of better development tools and practices.
Contribute to documentation of the test suite and enhancement of certification processes.
Collaborate with product managers on prioritizing workloads around release schedules.
Primary Requirements:
Proven experience with Fedora, CentOS, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Advanced development and scripting abilities (e.g. Python, shell, Bash, Ruby, or Perl).
Software development life cycle skills; ability to use standard tools for development on Linux, e.g. Git and rpmbuild.
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment systems like Jenkins.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to participate in distributed communities and projects.
Good troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with Go and Docker is a plus.
Upstream involvement with open source projects, including patches submitted and accepted for inclusion, is a plus.
