TNPSC Group 1 application form

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is conducting exams for Direct Recruitment to the posts included in Group-I Services. Eligible candidates have to apply online from 29-12-2013 to 28-01-2014. The examination date will be on 26-04-2014. Read below for more details.

1. Deputy Collector (Post Code: 1001): 03 posts

2. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category – I): 33 posts (Post Code: 1002)

3. Assistant Commissioner (C.T.): 33 posts (Post Code: 1003)

4. Assistant Director of Rural Development Department (Post Code: 1006): 10 posts

Age Limit

Candidates age limit should not be below 21 years and should not exceed 30 years for General as on 01-07-2013. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates should pass any degree under any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Preliminary Exam, Main Written Examination and in an Interview.

How to Apply

1. Open www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexams.net or click the above link ‘Apply online

2. Select the name of the post for which you wish to apply.

3. If you already have unique ID, then you can enter unique ID and password to view the already available information and update them, if necessary.

4. If you do not have unique valid ID, please carefully enter all the required particulars without missing any field.

5. Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature.

6. Candidates should pay the examination fee through offline or online mode as mentioned above.

7. Fill all the payment details in the online application form.

8. Candidates must note the registration number and password for further reference.

9. After submitting the online application candidates must take a copy of the online application for future reference.

Examination Fee

  • Candidates have to pay the examination fee of Rs.125/- includes Rs.75/- as exam fee and Rs. 50/- for application for preliminary exam and another 125 for main Written Examination.

  • The candidates who have registered in the One-Time Registration system and paid the registration fee of Rs.50/- and received the registration ID need not pay the application fee Rs.50/- and it is enough to pay Examination fee alone.

  • Online payment fee must be paid through Net Banking, using Credit Card or Debit Card.

  • Offline payment fee can be paid through Challan (after submission of online application) in any Indian Bank branch or Post Office.

  • Candidates claiming exemption from examination fee should pay Rs. 50/- towards Application Cost.


Important Dates to be noted

  • Date of Notification: 29-12-2013.

  • Last date for submission of applications: 28-01-2014.

  • Last date for payment of Fee through Offline: 30-01-2014. (Bank or post office)

  • Date of Preliminary examination: 26-04-2014 at 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
